our produce

We stock a range of cooks ingredients that we use in our kitchen, free range organic farm eggs from Selkirk, sea salt, local rapeseed oils, vinegars to name a few. Chutneys, relishes, pickles are made using local seasonal ingredients, these complement perfectly our pates and cheeses. Locally roasted coffee from Three Hills, Selkirk. Beer and gins made in the borders are also available as well a selection of red, white and rose wine.

Our soda bread has always been a firm favourite with all of our guests and with this in mind we set up a small oven in the Restaurant so we can bake and sell our breads and pastries. Always better to pre order as the bread, croissants and pastries sell fast!!

baked daily

Bea’s first task of the day is to weigh, mix, form and bake our soda bread.   She then rolls her pastry to create the shell for her Portuguese custard tarts, fills with Roger’s custard mix and bakes in a very hot oven. These are followed into the oven by our plain and almond croissants giving the focaccia time to prove. We vary the focaccia topping weekly.

Chilled items include pates, ready meals and desserts, lemon curd, clotted cream, local cheeses, fish and shellfish are also available for next day collection.
